Scott Charles Mettey, a devoted member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, was called home to his Lord on July 22, 2023.
SERVICE INFORMATION: Family and friends honored Scott's life at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4 to 8pm. A funeral service was held on Friday, July 28th at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 65 Oscawana Lake Rd in Putnam Valley, NY at 11am. OBITUARY: Scott Charles Mettey a resident of Putnam Valley, New York passed away on Saturday July 22, 2023 at the age of 41 years. Scott was a Jewelry Consultant, a musician who enjoyed playing the organ, he was a bagpiper, he was a pipe major, member of the Peekskill Irish Committee, a life scout, he enjoyed traveling especially on cruise ships. Scott is survived by his parents Louis A. and Madelon Mettey, in addition he is survived by his Aunt Katherine Wanner (Richard), his Aunt Phyllis Dickens, Aunt Linda Dickens (Don), Aunt Carmela Walden-Lial, his cousins Erica (Robert), Michelle (Richard), David (Sandra), Janet, Tracey (Quinton), Jason, Josef and Justin, two godchildren Liam and Quinton. Funeral services will be held Friday July 28, 2023 11:00am St. Luke's Lutheran Church 65 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday 4-8pm at Yorktown Funeral Home 945 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran church. Pastor Vangor asks that we all continue to pray that the Lord of all comfort would be with Scott's parents - Lou and Madelon - and all Scott's family and friends during this most difficult time. |

Please do not come to the church building if you are ill or if you have been in direct contact with anyone who has tested positive for Coronavirus or if presumptively positive unless you are fully vaccinated. We encourage you to STAY HOME and STAY SAFE if you have any concerns. We are performing this essential service for our community in a safe manner with service modifications as necessary for communion, etc..
